Two sentences about Kelly
I have written, planned, and officiated at many unusual weddings and commitment ceremonies. Now I am seeking a publisher for my recently completed book Wedding Dialogues.


Wedding Dialogues
Wedding Dialogues consists of ten strikingly original wedding ceremonies written by me (Kelly Fine) as well as instructions for couples on how to use the ceremonies to create expressive, moving weddings. The ceremonies can be used as legally binding weddings or as rites of passage with no legal status, and all the ceremonies but one can be used by opposite-sex or same-sex couples. Each ceremony is centered around a lyrical dialogue in which the two partners exchange and interweave their thoughts about marriage.


Why dialogues?
Most mainstream weddings give the officiant (that is, the civil or religious officer who marries a couple) the lead role. In contrast, almost all the weddings I write give major roles to both partners and a relatively minor role to the officiant. I believe that you and your partner should be the lead actors in your wedding. After all, you're the primary agents in making your wedding happen and making your marriage work. Also, you probably want your wedding to communicate to friends and family what you've been privately experiencing as a couple and what you expect and hope to experience in marriage. To best express your private experience, your wedding should feature you and your partner.
